High Point Highlights: Trends and Takeaways

Recently back from High Point Market and feeling so inspired! It’s always incredible to see where the design world is headed—and I loved seeing so many themes that align with the materials, textures, and sculptural elements I naturally gravitate toward. Here are a few of my favorite trends that really stood out:

  • Texture, texture, texture everywhere! (Think furniture, wallpaper, art, lighting…)

  • Sculptural curves meet crisp angles

  • Organic materials: rattan, raw edges, shell inlays, honed or leathered stone

  • Dimensional wall art: plaster, paper, rope, yarn, metal

  • Neutrals layered with texture and mixed materials for depth

  • Unexpected pairings: metal with mohair, marble with velvet, natural fibers with bronze and seeded glass

  • Bold patterns and statement pieces (yes, still going strong)

  • Moody, richly layered textiles

  • Hammered metal, rattan, beading, leathered stone, burl wood—unexpected combos bringing tactile richness

  • Hair-on-hide? Still holding its place

  • Wall coverings with depth: grass cloth, prints, metallics, saturated color

  • Luxe case goods in standout finishes with beautiful, artistic hardware

  • Vanities and tables with impact: bold marble tops, sleek glossy finishes, sculptural bases in forged metal, wood, or stone, and refined accents like mother-of-pearl detailing

  • Intricate details and sculptural forms in focal-point lighting, many inspired by nature or plant life (silver dollar chandelier, anyone?)

TEXTURE, TEXTURE, TEXTURE!

SCULPTURAL CURVES

LUXE CASECOODS

ILLUMINATED ART (can you tell I love lighting?)

Can’t wait to bring some of these elements into upcoming projects; I have so many ideas brewing! If you’re ready to infuse your home with fresh ideas and timeless style, let’s connect.
